Logan Health is proud to announce that its RN Residency Program has once again been awarded Accreditation with Distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) — the highest recognition offered through the ANCC’s Practice Transition Accreditation Program. This marks the third consecutive reaccreditation of the program and reflects Logan Health’s unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing education, clinical practice, and patient care.
The program was accredited across 14 diverse practice settings encompassing 20 departments, including critical care, labor and delivery, emergency medicine, surgical services, pediatrics, rehabilitation, and more. This distinction places Logan Health among an elite group of organizations nationwide that demonstrate innovative and exemplary practices in nursing transition-to-practice programs.
“This recognition is not only a testament to our incredible RN residents, but to the entire Logan Health team,” said Director of Education Services Donivee Randall-Jones, DNP, RN, CEN “From our dedicated program coordinators Teri Steffens and Marlayna Gran, the Clinical Education team to our CNO and clinical leaders and preceptors who hire and mentor new nurses, this is truly a collaborative achievement. It takes a team effort to train a new nurse, and this accreditation proves we are doing it with excellence.”

Achieving Accreditation with Distinction required Logan Health to meet rigorous criteria, demonstrating excellence in four key areas:
-
Aligning program outcomes with organizational strategic priorities.
-
Maintaining high standards in program leadership and continuing professional development.
-
Building strong advisory and academic partnerships to support program goals.
-
Teaching safety science and human performance reliability to instill a lasting culture of safety.
Participants in the RN Residency Program consistently praise its impact:
“I felt that this residency program was extremely effective at bridging the gap from school to practice as an RN. The program was well run, and the staff were extremely supportive. I would recommend this residency program to anyone graduating from nursing school or wanting to get into a specialty area.” — Recent RN Residency Graduate
