For the Children, Inc. provides financial assistance to Montana families with a child in need of medical treatment outside their community. Funds go toward reimbursement for travel expenses: transportation, lodging, and meals.

Requirements: child requiring travel is between birth to 18 years old, family resides in Montana, child custody is parent(s) or the legal guardian(s), treatment is occurring outside of the child’s community, minimum distance from the child’s / family’s community is 100 miles, treatment must be prescribed by a licensed physician, verification from the child’s medical doctor may be requested, and family has limited financial resources to cover medical travel expenses.

Applicants are eligible to receive assistance once per year, up to four years. After an applicant has been supported four times they are no longer eligible to receive assistance from the Jadyn Fred Foundation.
