A beautiful garden bed created from a grain bin has been donated to Logan Health – Chester Assisted Living in a joint effort by a couple of community members. Thank you to Greg Woods and Paul Wolery. Greg donated the bin and dirt from his farm for the bin. Paul put together the rings and made the ends of the bed. Together they used their own equipment to haul in the eight loads of dirt it took to fill the bin. The donation was made in memory of Wayne and Betty Jo Wolery, Robert Woods, Patricia Warhank, Elvyn and Eileen Wolery, Lloyd Wolery and William and Sharon Woods. Thank you to the Liberty County Hospital Guild for allowing us to use funds to purchase flowers to fill the bed. The garden bed was installed to the assisted living garden in the fall of 2025, and our residents were very excited to plant flowers this spring. The raised bed has made tending to the garden much easier for our residents.
