Now in its 19th year, this annual tournament honors the life and legacy of Betty Woods—a beloved Logan Health Medical Center nurse who served our community for 28 years. Betty began her career in the Intensive Care Unit and later joined the A.L.E.R.T. flight team in 1982, where she shared her deep passion for emergency services. She believed strongly that EMS professionals are the backbone of our communities.
After a courageous battle with terminal cancer, Betty’s final day of service was September 10, 2006. This event is a joyful tribute to her memory and ongoing impact. Proceeds benefit both A.L.E.R.T. and the Betty Woods Flathead Valley Emergency Services Endowment, which provides grants for vital equipment and training for first responders across our region.
