At Logan Health – Shelby, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable professional milestone achieved by physical therapist Jennifer Gruber, MPT, OCS, LMT. Gruber has successfully renewed her Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) credential, extending the distinction she has maintained for the past 20 years.
To renew her certification, Gruber completed an extensive review process that included passing a comprehensive examination covering advanced clinical knowledge, evidence-based treatment, and complex diagnostic reasoning in orthopedic physical therapy.
The OCS credential is awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, the specialty certification board of the American Physical Therapy Association. It is one of the profession’s highest recognitions, demonstrating advanced expertise in the evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons.
To earn or maintain the board certification, physical therapists must build extensive clinical experience, demonstrate advanced knowledge through examination, and continue professional development throughout their careers. Recertification is available every 10 years.
