The Logan Health Medical Fitness Center hosted its first annual “Redpoint Rally” rope climbing competition on Saturday, February 21, drawing 25 climbers to the wall for a day of energy, competition and community.

Logan Health Medical Fitness Center climbing wallParticipants competed across recreational, intermediate and advanced divisions, earning points by completing zones within each route and receiving additional points for reaching the top. In heats of up to ten climbers, competitors tackled as many routes as possible within a 90-minute window, pushing their endurance and strategy to the limit.

Several divisions came down to razor-thin margins, with rankings ultimately determined by the number of attempts, adding intensity and excitement for spectators throughout each heat.

The intermediate division delivered one of the most thrilling moments of the day, ending in ties for both first and third place. To break the deadlock, officials introduced a “super-final” route. Each climber was given one final attempt, with placements determined by how high they could climb.

Thank you to all competitors for their effort, sportsmanship and enthusiasm in making the inaugural event such a success.

Special thanks to the volunteers whose support made the day possible. Belayers, judges, scorekeepers, check-in staff and route setters worked together to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
