Get ready to lace up your sneakers and join the community for a fun-filled morning at the annual Whoop-Up Fun Run, part of Conrad’s Whoop-Up Trail Days celebration. The event kicks off Saturday, June 6, at 8:00 a.m. at Meadowlark School, and participants of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Whether you prefer a leisurely walk, a light jog, or a competitive run, there’s an option for everyone. Participants can choose between a 1-mile or 3-mile course, perfect for individuals, families, and groups looking to enjoy the outdoors while supporting a great cause.
Those who would like to participate competitively can register online for $20 at www.conradwhoopup.com/funrun. Paid registration includes a race bib with timing chip, event T-shirt, swag bag, and eligibility for age division medals. Packet pick-up will be available in advance on Friday, June 5, from 3–6 p.m. at Stockman Bank in Conrad, where Logan Health representatives will also be available to help with registration questions. Race day registration and packet pick-up will take place Saturday, June 6, from 6:45–7:30 a.m. at Meadowlark School. Please note that race registration payment is accepted by credit card only.
Community members who simply want to join the fun are invited to walk or jog the course for free, no registration required. Free participants can arrive before the 8:00 a.m. start time; however, they will not receive a race bib, timing chip, or event T-shirt. A limited number of T-shirts will be available for purchase on race day for $10 while supplies last.
This year, Logan Health is partnering with the Pondera County Health Department, Pondera Healthcare Foundation and Stockman Bank to donate proceeds from the run to the Conrad School-Based Health Clinic’s Weekend Food Backpack Program. This important program provides nutritious food for students to take home each weekend during the school year, helping ensure children have access to meals outside of school days. Participants and spectators will also have an opportunity during the event to “fill the backpack” through additional donations.
The 1-mile course loops around Conrad High School and the football field, while the 3-mile course extends along the walking path and through a route around town. Both courses begin and end at Meadowlark School, where the Conrad Lion’s Club will host a complimentary pancake breakfast. Special thanks to Stokes Market for providing snacks to refuel participants at the end of the race.
