Logan Health – Cut Bank will be participating in a full-scale active shooter exercise on Thursday, August 22. This training exercise will simulate an active shooter event and will be conducted on the Logan Health – Cut Bank campus. The purpose is to evaluate the strategies and communication of emergency responders and the Logan Health system in the event of an active shooter.
Since 2019, the number of active shooter incidents increased by 60% in the United States. Logan Health is committed to working with local first responders to ensure that our communities maintain high quality safety standards. Exercises like these are held to ensure that first responders and emergency workers are prepared should an active shooter situation were to take place locally.
The exercise will begin at 10 a.m. at Logan Health – Cut Bank. All participants will then meet immediately afterwards to evaluate their performance and to determine ways to improve.
