At Logan Health we provide full-service emergency care for adults and children. Expert physicians, emergency nurses who are trauma trained and advanced medical technologies will give you confidence that you are in capable, compassionate hands. The Logan Health Medical Center’s 31 bed emergency department sees approximately 28,000 patients each year with primary diagnoses including but not limited to cardiac, respiratory, psychiatric, pediatric and obstetrical emergencies. We have a board-certified emergency room physician on 24/7. Logan Health Medical Center’s emergency department is verified through the American College of Surgeons as a Level III trauma center with neurosurgery services. We are also recognized by the state of Montana as a Pediatric Prepared Facility and verified by The Joint Commission as a primary stroke center.

Walk-In Care Versus Emergency Care

When to go to walk-in care:

Allergies
Cuts that need stitches
Colds/flu
Insect bites or tick removal
Ear, urinary and other infections
Skin rashes
Sprains and strains

When to go to the emergency department:

Chest pain
Sudden shortness of breath
Sudden or unexplained loss of consciousness
Sudden onset of numbness in the face, arm or leg
Sudden onset of slurred speech
Severe weakness or pain
Sudden worsening of chronic condition
Significant or uncontrolled bleeding
Coughing or vomiting blood
Accident affecting the use of a body part
High fever
Poisoning
