Stephanie Williams, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, AOCNP, CBCN, joined the Logan Health medical staff in March of 2024. She practices at the Logan Health Breast Center and specializes in breast cancer, benign diseases of the breast, and high-risk breast cancer screening. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Murray State University in 1994. She began her oncology career in bone marrow transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she took a special interest in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1998. Following graduation, she relocated to Arkansas where she worked in stem cell transplant and radiation oncology. In 2000, Stephanie relocated to Texas, where she spent 13 years at MD Anderson Cancer Center, working in stem cell transplant, surgical oncology and radiation oncology. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama in 2015. After graduation, she worked for Memorial Herman Health System and at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, working in radiation oncology and breast surgery.
Stephanie is board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC), an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP), and a Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN). She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology. She has published on an unusual presentation of locally recurrent breast cancer; metastases to the breast from nonbreast solid neoplasms; and radiation therapy for breast cancer. Through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, she participated in the AOCNP passing score task force and item writing for the radiation therapy certification exam. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Stephanie now calls Montana her home. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.
