Kim Stimpson, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a passion for sports medicine and a deep commitment to community care. With a special focus on treating athletic injuries, Dr. Stimpson volunteers his time to support local high school athletes, helping them stay strong, recover quickly and return to the activities they enjoy.
Dr. Stimpson earned his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego, followed by his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and advanced his expertise through a sports medicine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Dr. Stimpson’s career has taken him across the country, including roles with San Dieguito Orthopedic Medical Group in California and North Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinic in Tupelo. He also served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves Medical Corps and spent time as a missionary in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Stimpson is a devoted husband and father of five. He enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, running and fishing, living the active lifestyle he encourages in his patients.
