Elizabeth Wendl, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with a special interest in coronary interventions, cardio-obstetrics and women’s health. She values building long-term relationships with her patients and providing thoughtful, personalized cardiovascular care.
Originally from Waukee, Iowa, Dr. Wendl completed her undergraduate education, medical school and residency training in her home state. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency in Des Moines, where she served as chief resident. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she completed both her general and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Utah.
Outside of work, Dr. Wendl enjoys spending time with her husband and their black Lab. Together, they enjoy camping, hiking, paddleboarding and exploring the outdoors. At home, she enjoys baking, reading and staying active.
