Daniel (Cory) Short, DO, joined the medical staff of Logan Health in August 2012 as a hospitalist with a specialty in internal medicine. Dr. Short received his bachelor of science degree, with honors, in health and human performance/exercise science from University of Montana in Missoula. He earned his doctorate in osteopathic medicine, with high honors, from Western University of Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. During his studies there he was a research fellow with Western University. Dr. Short completed both his internship and his residency in internal medicine through Legacy Health Systems in Portland, Oregon. He earned many honors and awards including the Legacy Health Systems Humanistic Resident of the Year in June 2011, Legacy’s Inpatient and Outpatient Resident of the Year in 2012 and the Tony Andrews Award for Excellence in patient care and bedside teaching. He and his wife, Samantha, both are Montana natives and have two young children. Dr. Short enjoys spending time with his family, being outside, and recreating with all things water.
