Alexis Harrison, MD

Cardiologist and internist Alexis Harrison, MD, MS, began her professional practice with Logan Health Heart & Lung in August 2015. Dr. Harrison earned her MS in medical sciences from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She completed her internal medicine residency through the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, then remained with the university to carry out two fellowships – the first as an advanced imaging fellow in cardiology and the second in general cardiology. During her training, she gained valuable clinical experience working as a physician in bone marrow transplantation and in hematology and oncology with Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City. While in Utah, Dr. Harrison enjoyed cultural opportunities such as visiting museums and exploring the culinary landscape. She and her husband and their three young children love spending time outdoors.
