Logan Health is proud to announce that both of its Flathead Valley hospitals — Logan Health Medical Center and Logan Health – Whitefish — have successfully achieved accreditation from DNV Healthcare USA Inc., affirming the organization’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care across all settings.
Logan Health Medical Center, a full-service acute care facility, and Logan Health – Whitefish, a designated Critical Access Hospital (CAH), underwent a rigorous evaluation process to earn this distinction. The DNV accreditation program integrates the internationally recognized ISO 9001 Quality Management System with Medicare Conditions of Participation, ensuring hospitals meet both regulatory requirements and best practices in quality improvement. Building on its DNV accreditation, the organization is now working toward ISO 9001 certification as its next major quality objective.
“Achieving DNV accreditation for both hospitals reflects the dedication of our teams to continuous improvement and patient-centered care,” said Logan Health Chief Medical Officer Cory Short, DO. “This recognition reinforces our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality healthcare services to every patient we serve — whether in our larger acute care setting or our critical access facility.”
Unlike traditional accreditation models, DNV’s approach emphasizes ongoing readiness and continuous survey cycles, encouraging hospitals to embed quality and safety into daily operations rather than preparing for periodic inspections. This model supports sustained excellence and adaptability in an evolving healthcare environment.
“This milestone is a testament to the collaboration, expertise, and commitment of our staff across both hospitals,” said Logan Health – Whitefish Chief Medical Officer Jonathan Amick, DO. “We are proud to meet these high standards and to continue advancing the care we provide to our communities.”
DNV is a global healthcare accreditation organization that partners with hospitals to improve quality, safety, and operational performance. Its accreditation is recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and reflects adherence to nationally established healthcare standards.
