Logan Health – Conrad and Logan Health – Shelby will be participating in a full-scale exercise on Thursday, August 15. This training opportunity will simulate a mass casualty event and will be conducted on the Logan Health – Conrad and Logan Health – Shelby campuses. The purpose is to evaluate the strategies and communication of emergency responders and the Logan Health system in the instance of a mass casualty.
The United States has seen a rise in these serious incidents within the past five years. Logan Health is committed to working with local first responders to ensure that our communities maintain high quality safety standards. Exercises like these are held to allow first responders and emergency workers an opportunity to be more prepared to respond if a mass casualty situation should occur locally.
The exercise will begin at 7 a.m. and will conclude at 10:15 a.m. All participants will then meet for one hour to evaluate their performance and to determine ways to improve.
