Logan Health – Conrad will be participating in a full-scale emergency evacuation exercise on Friday, March 27. This training exercise will simulate an evacuation of Logan Health Care Center – Conrad residents. The purpose is to evaluate the strategies and communication of first responders and emergency workers in the event of an emergency evacuation in the long-term care unit.
Logan Health Care Center – Conrad is a 59-bed unit long-term care facility, including a 14-bed Special Care Unit. Logan Health is committed to working with local first responders to ensure that our communities maintain high quality safety standards. Exercises like these are held to ensure that first responders and emergency workers are prepared should an emergency evacuation situation were to take place
The exercise will begin at 1 p.m. at Logan Health – Conrad. The Pondera Players will provide actors for the roles of residents. No long-term care residents will be evacuated during this drill. All participants will meet immediately afterwards to evaluate their performance and to determine ways to improve.
