Peter Handley, MD, FACP

Peter Handley, MD, FACP, joined the Logan Health medical staff in August of 2024. He practices at Logan Health Palliative Medicine and specializes in advanced symptom management and disease prognosis. After earning his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Handley completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at University of Michigan. After completing residency, Dr. Handley practiced medicine in Northern Michigan for a number of years, before returning to fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Handley is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, and board eligible in hospice and palliative care. He is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Outside of work, Dr. Handley enjoys a variety of seasonal sports, including running, swimming, skiing and snowshoeing. He can also be found cheering on his favorite football team, the Wolverines from University of Michigan.
