Accepting new patientsJose C. de Souza, MD, is an endocrinologist specializing in the medical management of diabetes, thyroid conditions and other metabolic disorders. He is committed to helping patients manage their health through personalized care, education and healthy lifestyle habits.
Dr. de Souza received his initial medical training in Brazil before moving to the United States in 1989. He completed a research fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Utah, followed by an internship and internal medicine residency at Saint Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his fellowship in endocrinology at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland in 1998.
Outside of medicine, Dr. de Souza is an avid endurance athlete and regularly participates in Ironman triathlons, which include swimming, biking and running. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, and their two sons, Daniel and Gustavo “Gus.”
