Logan Health has added a 10k race for the second annual Cedar Creek Marathon. The Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k will be September 23, 2023.
“We are excited to provide the 10k distance for those looking to run a bit more than the 5k, but not as far as the half,” said Event Coordinator, Krista Rufenach. “Enjoy the 10k course with a mix of trail, gravel and pavement allowing for a continuous change up and ease on the knees.”

The first 6+ miles are gravel to give your joints a break while your eyes soak in the amazing beauty surrounding your run. All distances of this race get to enjoy the beauty along the North Fork Road, leaving you breathless in more ways than one!
The Full Marathon run begins at Big Creek Campground and finishes at Glacier Bank in Columbia Falls, Montana. The Marathon and Half Marathon are USATF Certified Courses and gives runners a scenic view of Glacier National Park, Flathead River and Cedar Creek.
“This event showcases all the Flathead Valley has to offer from our scenic trails to our fantastic lodging and restaurants,” said Rufenach. “Logan Health has collaborated with the Glacier Conservancy and a portion of all the race proceeds will go to the Glacier Conservancy and therefore back into our Parks and other wonderful programs the Conservancy funds.”
The Cedar Creek Marathon is a premier running event in the Flathead Valley that attracts participants locally and from across the Northwest region. Registration closes on September 22, 2023, and participants will have opportunities to save if they register early.
