Logan Health Care Center – Shelby is pleased to announce the inaugural Santa for Seniors event. Now through Friday, December 22, new and unopened gifts are being accepted for the long-term care center residents to enjoy this holiday season.
“The idea came from a family that I had known for close to twenty years,” said Kristi Rowell, Logan Health Care Center – Shelby director. “We are encouraging Shelby area community members to provide gifts for residents who have no local family or friends. This will bring residents the joy of opening gifts on Christmas morning!”
Highly requested gifts include:
- Box of greeting cards, stationary, pens, stamps
- Stuffed animals
- Non-skid socks, slippers
- Soft pajamas
- Lap blanket, shawl, sweater
- Sealed packages of cookies, crackers, sugar-free hard candies
- Body lotion
- Activity books, magazines, books
- Toiletries, Nail polish
- Auxiliary Gift Shop gift certificate
The goal for the event is to provide a gift for each resident. For more information about how to give a gift to a Care Center resident, please contact Kristi at (406) 229-0977 or (406) 434-3284.
