The 48th Annual ALERT Banquet will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Trade Center Building at Flathead County Fairgrounds. The event is the premier fundraiser supporting the ALERT medical flight program, which has delivered lifesaving care across the Flathead Valley for more than 50 years.
The ALERT program began in 1975 as the second hospital-based advanced life support helicopter system in the United States and the first of its kind in rural America. What started as a partnership between the local logging industry and the hospital to rapidly transport injured workers has since grown into an elite critical care transport program, evolving with the needs of the Flathead Valley and the surrounding region. Today, ALERT provides fast, expert emergency care to patients across a wide geographic area, ensuring access to lifesaving treatment when time and distance matter most.
“Philanthropy and community support have been the driving force for growing the ALERT program since the beginning,” said Michael Barth, CFRE, President of the Logan Health Foundation. “That support is what allows us not only to sustain this elite critical care transport service, but to continue building it for the future. The ALERT Banquet is a key step in that effort, helping ensure we have the aircraft, equipment and teams needed to reach patients across our region when every minute matters.”
All proceeds from the Banquet directly fund and support the ALERT program, providing the flight team with the resources and equipment they need to continue saving lives and helping patients. Since 2000, over $10 million has been raised in philanthropic support.
