Welcome to The Birth Center at North Valley Hospital. The Birth Center has gone to great lengths to keep your baby, family and yourself safe while still meeting your birth experience expectations. Our prenatal childbirth and breastfeeding classes are available online. We also offer a virtual tour so you can see the birth center prior to your arrival.

During your stay, all staff members will be wearing a face mask and eye protection and we ask that you, your partner, and support person wear a hospital-provided face mask when hospital employees are present. Staff are to perform hand hygiene with every patient encounter and you are empowered to say something if this is not done.

On admission, all patients are tested for COVID-19 allowing the medical team the opportunity to best manage your care. Patients that are COVID-19 positive can still room in with their newborn with safety precautions in place after you discuss the risks and benefits with your pediatric provider. Patients may deliver at The Birth Center if they are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic. Patients that are extremely ill will be transferred to a higher level of care for appropriate support. Please contact The Birth Center for current visitation guidelines.
