The NVH Foundation has continuing annual funds to provide for projects at North Valley Hospital.
Circle of Friends
This fund exists to provide emergency relief and support to employees in times of crisis. There is an application process and review of need.
As the fund increases, the frequency of approval and level of funding for each request could be increased. The employees themselves contribute to this fund through participation in once-a-month jeans days and payroll deductions supporting the NVH Foundation. The annual goal for this program is currently $5,000
The Foundation supports a healthy eating initiative at the North Valley Professional Center primary care clinic in Columbia Falls. Patients who screen as “food insecure” are given the opportunity for vouchers for them and their families to access fresh fruits and vegetables at local farmers markets in CF, WF and Kalispell.
Annual Goal: $5000
Teddy Bear Fund
A stuffed teddy bear or animal is provided to each child admitted to the hospital, or to their siblings or other youth in the facility who would benefit from the comfort of a soft stuffed animal.
As the fund grows, other initiatives could be implemented related to providing comfort and care to the youth we serve in the hospital. Currently NVH requires about $10,000 annually
to continue this program.
to donate to this program.
Planetree Healing Garden
The garden provides a number of opportunities for healthy eating, education and is a gathering place for employees and families of patients.
Annual Goal: $2,500
Care Coordination Fund
Support is provided annually to the Care Coordination team at NVH and associated clinics. Often patients being discharged are in need of medical equipment or supplies, that can be approved and funded by the Foundation.
