Governor Steve Bullock visits KRH to tour Alternative Care Facility

Governor Steve Bullock visited Kalispell Regional Medical Center to tour the new Alternative Care Facility (ACF) that is in the process of being built on the vacant third floor shelled space of Montana Children's. He was joined by Major General Matthew Quinn and Brigadier General Pete Helmlinger, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Northwestern Division Commander. Kalispell Regional Healthcare (KRH) was selected by the State of Montana’s COVID-19 Task Force as one of two locations in Montana for construction of an ACF to serve the region in the event of pandemic escalation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been working on the facility since Monday under a Mission Assignment from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in support of the State of Montana and are expected to complete the project early next week.
