Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Pediatric services
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
*Hours may be limited for holidays and health events

What information is needed when I arrive for specimen collection at Outpatient Laboratory Services?
  1. Appointment; call (406) 752-1737 to schedule
  2. Insurance card
  3. Legal identification
  4. Signed physician’s order with diagnosis (lab requisition). The order can be in the following formats:
    1. The actual paper document
    2. A faxed copy - send to (406) 758-8408
    3. Electronic order
  5. Fasting may be required (check with your provider)
  6. Biotin/multivitamins may affect lab test results
  7. Drop-offs are now done inside the Outpatient Laboratory Services office
Do I need to schedule an appointment for lab work?
Yes. Contact Outpatient Laboratory Services at (406) 752-1737 to make your appointment. Select laboratory tests require specific appointment times. These tests include, but are not limited to, glucose tolerance, sweat chloride, platelet aggregation, H. pylori breath test, etc. These types of tests will need to be coordinated with your provider’s office and the Outpatient Laboratory Services site. After normal business hours of the Outpatient Laboratory Services site, contact the Main Laboratory at (406) 752-1737.

Where can I get my child’s blood drawn?
Our pediatric draw site is located in Outpatient Laboratory Services at 75 Claremont Street, Suite D. All patients younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

What does a patient need to do if they need to drop off a specimen?
Patient specimens should be dropped off inside the Outpatient Laboratory Services office. Patients who need to drop off specimens after normal business hours of the Outpatient Laboratory Services site will need to contact the Main Laboratory at (406) 752-1737. All fertility testing and semen analysis must be delivered and/or collected at the Main Laboratory, located inside Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Do I have to register every time I have lab tests ordered?
Yes, all patients need to register each time they have a specimen collected or when dropping off a specimen.

Who can answer my questions about fasting and tests ordered?
All questions concerning fasting and tests that have been ordered should be directed to your provider or your provider’s clinical staff.

How quickly can I get lab results?
Some lab tests may take longer to perform than others. Please consult your provider to determine when you should expect to receive your lab results.

How can I find out about my lab results?
Please contact the provider who ordered your lab tests to get your lab results. You may also view your lab results using the MyHealth patient portal. This is a personalized and secure online tool.
