Maura Hamilton is a pediatric nurse practitioner with Montana Children’s Specialists, a department of Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She is also part of Montana Children’s and its team of more than 40 pediatric specialists. Maura provides neurosurgical care to neonates, children, and adolescents. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania. She then worked as a pediatric infectious disease RN at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, while at The Ohio State University earning a Master of Science. Maura then traveled the country as an RN working in San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Dallas before starting her first nurse practitioner job in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Medical Center in Texas. Maura continued her studies and received a post-master’s certification as a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner from The University of Texas and a certification as a registered nurse first assistant from Angelo State University. Maura has been putting her skills to work as pediatric neurosurgery nurse practitioner since 2007 in top ranked teaching facilities including Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas, and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Maura joined Kalispell Regional Healthcare in May of 2018. She has a passion for teaching and feels it is a key component in collaborative care, improved patient outcomes and patient education. Maura enjoys playing outside, swinging a golf club on a nearby fairway or seeking out new adventures while traveling.
