Timothy Obermiller was raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He earned his Medical Doctorate with honors from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, going on to complete both his internship and residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. Tim received fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at his alma mater in Seattle, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. After practicing in Seattle for five years, Tim and his family moved to Kalispell, MT in 1996, where he became a founding member of Rocky Mountain Heart & Lung. He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he holds advanced certifications in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Tim has served as the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and Chief of Staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He has also been a board member of the Northwest Montana Physicians Group as well as Kalispell Regional Healthcare. Currently, Tim continues to practice pulmonary and critical care medicine through Rocky Mountain Heart & Lung and Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and he serves as the Section Chief of Medical Specialty Care Practices for Kalispell Regional Medical Group. Tim is an avid supporter of youth sports and served on the Kalispell Laker American Legion Baseball Board. He and his family love Montana deeply, and they enjoy all of the outdoor activities their beautiful state has to offer.
