Surgery, Plastic

Plastic surgeon Michelle Spring, MD, joined the practice of Glacier View Plastic Surgery in June 2015, and is a member of the active medical staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She brings her extensive experience with reconstructive and cosmetic surgery to her care for patients across the Flathead Valley. Dr. Spring earned her medical degree through the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she also completed her integrated plastic surgery residency. She sought extensive additional training through two fellowships. The first, a six-month aesthetic surgery fellowship through the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the University of Southern California (USC) in Marina del Rey, was followed by an interim appointment as a plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery clinical instructor at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Spring then completed a year-long Interplast Webster fellowship (now ReSurge), an international humanitarian organization providing free reconstructive surgery for deformities such as cleft lip and palate and disfiguring burns. She has traveled to many countries to teach and perform surgery, including Bangladesh, Bolivia, China, Ecuador, India, Nicaragua, Peru, Taiwan and Vietnam. She is passionate about continuing her volunteer work as much as her schedule allows, returning from her third trip to Vietnam just before joining Glacier View Plastic Surgery. Dr. Spring practiced for 2 ½ years with Seasons Plastic Surgery, a multidisciplinary group practice in Ponderay and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She returned to Marina del Ray in July 2011, where she practiced with Marina Plastic Surgery Associates. She served as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of surgery for the Keck School of Medicine of USC and co-director of the Aesthetic Fellowship Program for four years before moving to Kalispell. She enjoys spending her leisure time with her husband and two children, being outdoors and enjoying activities such as hiking, biking and horseback riding. She also is proud to support her husband’s nonprofit work helping wounded veterans.
