Lisa Fleischer, MD, joined the Kalispell Regional Healthcare family in 1997 when she began practicing as a family physician and offering obstetric care for patients with Big Sky Family Medicine. Fifteen years later, she broadened her scope of services by transitioning to become a family practice outreach physician for KRH. Today, she also offers hospitalist, and geriatric and supportive care, and sees patients at regional primary care clinics. Dr. Fleischer earned her medical degree from George Washington University Medical School in Washington, D.C., and completed her residency through the Marquette Family Practice Residency Program in Marquette, Michigan, where she served a year as chief resident. She began professional practice with Ninepipe Health Center, Indian Health Services and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, caring for families in Ronan and Pablo, Montana. Also during that time, she became a clinical preceptor for the University of Washington School of Medicine and in 2012 became a clinical preceptor with Des Moines University Physician’s Assistant Program, both of which she continues today. In 1990 Dr. Fleischer began as a family planning clinician with Lake County in Polson, and continues as the clinic’s medical director; she also was a preceptor, trainer and facilitator there. She has volunteered her medical services extensively over her career, including locally in northwest Montana and abroad in Moldova, Kyrgystan and Tajikistan; she continues volunteering four months a year in St. Lucia. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, biking, doing yoga, gardening, reading and creating art.
