Primary care physician Justin Buls, MD, joined the active medical staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center and The HealthCenter in May 2014 as the Kalispell site director for the Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana. The residency program, in which physicians spend the first year at the University of Montana in Missoula and their final two years caring for patients at Kalispell Regional, The HealthCenter and the Flathead Community Health Clinic, launched in Kalispell in July 2014. Dr. Buls, a Flathead High School graduate, completed his medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks. He remained there as he carried out his family practice residency, family medicine internship, and family medicine residency. He also completed a family medicine residency obstetrics fellowship at Grand Forks. Dr. Buls began practicing with the North Valley Professional Center family medicine clinic in Columbia Falls in September 2008, then expanded his practice to include patients through the Flathead Community Health Center in Kalispell in March 2013. In January 2014 he became affiliated with the University of Montana Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana as the program’s Kalispell site director. Dr. Buls looks forward to spending his free time with his family, and enjoys motocross, hunting, fishing and camping.
