Orthopedic surgeon Joseph Bergman, MD, joined Logan Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in August 2014. Dr. Bergman completed his medical studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and carried out his orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. He received advanced training through his adult reconstruction and hip preservation fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City before coming to Kalispell. Dr. Bergman has a focused interest in restoring function and mobility to patients with knee, hip and shoulder arthritis, with the goal of returning them to the activities they enjoy. He performs direct anterior total hip replacement and revision of problematic joint replacement, in addition to treating trauma and sports injuries. Dr. Bergman also trained as a mechanical engineer early in his career, and interned as a structural analysis engineer for the F-16 and a systems analysis engineer on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Ft. Worth, Texas. In his free time, he enjoys camping, rafting, fishing, skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and four children.
