Catherine Baran RN, CDCES joined the Logan Health family in March 2021. Catherine is a registered nurse and certified diabetes care and education specialist. She received her nursing degree from the Community College of Denver and her Bachelor degree in Business from the University of Denver. Catherine has worked as a diabetes educator for 20 years in many different roles including working for several diabetes medical device companies. Catherine has a strong passion for educating and supporting families with children with diabetes, her son Brendan was diagnosed as a toddler with Type 1 diabetes. She believes in using education, support and diabetes technologies to empower people living with diabetes to improve their health and quality of life. When Catherine is not helping patients, she enjoys hiking and skiing and traveling with her husband. Catherine is an experienced and certified insulin pump and sensor trainer.
