Vascular surgery specialist Bennett J. Dykstra, MD, FACS, is a member of the Logan Health staff and practices with Logan Health Surgical Clinic. He completed his medical studies at Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine with High Distinction. Dr. Dykstra conducted his internship in general surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, and his residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver. He was awarded a fellowship in vascular surgery with the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, from 2002 to 2003. Dr. Dykstra began his medical practice in 1995 with the Colorado Surgical Service in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where he remained until 2000. During that time he also was an associate clinical professor of surgery for the University of Colorado in Denver. He served as an assistant clinical professor in trauma and critical care with the University of Rochester before joining Logan Health Surgical Clinic in 2003.
