Alyssa Stone, PA-C, a cardiovascular surgery physician assistant and first assist in the surgical suite, began practicing with Rocky Mountain Heart & Lung in April 2014. She has extensive experience in emergency medicine, critical care and cardiovascular surgery. Alyssa’s certification in Nevada as an emergency medical technician-intermediate level prepared her for ambulance and rescue work in the Las Vegas Valley, where she served for several years. During her continued medical studies she obtained further critical care experience as a unit support clerk and monitor technician in St. Rose Delima Hospital’s intensive care unit. Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and studied for six months at Sussex University in Brighton, England, through its Study Abroad Program. Later, she earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University Nevada in Henderson. She began practice as a cardiovascular and thoracic surgery physician assistant and first assist with Cardiovascular Surgery Associates in Las Vegas, Nevada, then held a locum tenens position with Nevada Critical Care Consultants in Henderson, Nevada. Before joining Kalispell Regional Healthcare, she practiced as a cardiovascular surgery physician assistant and first assist for Providence Medical Group Heart Clinic Cardiovascular Surgery in Portland, Oregon. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys creating adventures with her husband and son, hiking, traveling, and reading books on ancient culture and philosophies.
