Adam Schow, MD, is a pediatric anesthesiologist who joined the Kalispell Regional Healthcare (KRH) family in October 2016. Dr. Schow is board certified both in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. He specializes in the care of critically ill infants, children and adolescents with an interest in thoracic and regional anesthesiology as well as pediatric acute pain management. The valedictorian of his high school in Calgary, Alberta, Dr. Schow went on to receive an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, serve a two-year mission in Paris, France, and then obtain his medical degree from the University of Utah in 1999. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Duke University in 2003, where he won the outstanding graduate resident award, and then a completed his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Harvard's Boston Children's Hospital in 2004. Prior to joining KRH, Dr. Schow was on staff at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, for 12 years, where he served as vice chair of pediatric anesthesiology. The father of six children, Dr. Schow considers the responsibility to care for a child to be a sacred trust. He is fluent in French and his preferred pastimes are fly fishing in Montana’s many blue ribbon streams and enjoying long walks with his lovely wife.
