Nutrition Services
Ryan Beeson, RD, LNRyan Beeson, RD, LN, has been a registered dietitian nutritionist since 2010. She graduated from Montana State University in 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in health and human nutrition. She is also a certified yoga instructor after completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training program in Costa Rica. Ryan completed her dietetic internship at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California, in 2010. Ryan has worked with neonatal infants, children, adults and the elderly within her career at KRMC. She is deeply committed to health and wellness for the body, mind and soul, and she believes in supporting others to reach their goals through nutrition, yoga and guided meditation.

Kelsey Conrow, RD, LNKelsey Conrow, RD, LN, graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman with a bachelor of science in food and nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship through Montana State University, where she developed a passion for working with oncology patients. Kelsey is pursuing her master of science in nutrition and wellness from Benedictine University. Kelsey joined the Kalispell Regional Healthcare team in 2015. Kelsey works with the pediatric and adult oncology programs and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Ashley Dunn, RD, LNAshley Dunn, RD, LN, completed her bachelor’s degree in food science and human nutrition with a concentration in dietetics at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She went on to complete her internship at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles. Ashley returned to the Flathead Valley in 2006 and has been working at Kalispell Regional Healthcare as a clinical dietitian developing and implementing nutrition care plans for various types of patients. She has a strong interest in wellness and helping clients achieve their health goals.

Linda Fredenberg, RD, LNLinda Fredenberg, RD, LN, is a native Montanan who received her bachelor of science degree from Montana State University. She completed a dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. She completed her pediatric rotation at Boston Children’s Hospital. Linda has been a dietitian since 1979 and previously served as the student health service nutritionist at Montana State University and as the clinical nutrition instructor at Flathead Valley Community College. She was recognized in 2010 by the State of Montana Children's Special Health Services for her many years of outstanding service, dedication and commitment serving on the pediatric specialty clinic teams. Linda was instrumental in the development of the Tyke Town preschool nutrition education program and the Body Balance Disordered Eating Program, both housed at the Summit Medical Fitness Center. She specializes in pediatric nutrition, disordered eating and providing medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of complex medical conditions in her present role as an outpatient nutrition educator. Linda is a member of the Pediatric Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group. She has served as president of the Montana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is a member of the board of directors and was selected as the Montana Recognized Dietitian of the Year in 2013. Linda is currently the only outpatient dietitian for Kalispell Regional Medical Center. 

Melanie Fretwell, RD, CNSCMelanie Fretwell, RD, CNSC, began working at Kalispell Regional Healthcare in 2007 and has been a dietitian for more than 20 years. She received her bachelor of arts degree in home economics from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and completed a dietetic internship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. She also completed a neonatal nutrition practicum with Baylor Medical College in Houston, Texas. Her areas of interest include the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, pediatrics and obstetrics. Melanie enjoys working with students in the community and participates in career days at Flathead and Glacier high schools and the Flathead High School biomed program, and provides a nutrition support presentation to nursing students at Flathead Valley Community College. Melanie has a specialty certification in nutrition support.

Marguerite M. Haaland, RD, LNMarguerite M. Haaland, RD, LN, has worked at KRMC since 2000, serving as chief clinical dietitian since 2007. Marguerite received a bachelor of science in foods and nutrition from Montana State University and completed her dietetic internship at California State University, Fresno, California. She also received an associate of arts and associate of science from Flathead Valley Community College. Marguerite manages the department and also sees patients in the hospital, filling in with inpatient rehabilitation, Brendan House and outpatient oncology patients as needed. As chief clinical dietitian, Marguerite is committed to providing excellent patient and resident care with a highly skilled staff.

Kaitlin O’Leary, MS, RDN, LN, grew up in Whitefish where she developed a love for the outdoors and healthy lifestyle through hiking, skiing, and fishing. She went on to pursue a career that combined her passion for food and nutrition with her fascination of the human body. With two Bachelor’s degrees under her belt, in addition to a Master’s degree in Nutrition, she returned to her home state to complete the Dietetic Internship through Montana State University in 2018. Kaitlin had always wished to return to, and serve, the Flathead Valley community and is excited to continue her journey through the health and wellness sector. She is committed to helping individuals discover and achieve their own wellness goals with an emphasis in nutrition.

Sheril Schenck, MS, RD, CSGSheril Schenck, MS, RD, CSG, received her bachelor of arts degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, and her master of science degree from Washington State University in Pullman. She completed a dietetic internship at Saint Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Sheril began working at Kalispell Regional Healthcare in 2002 and has practiced as a dietitian for more than 20 years. Her areas of interest include acute care, long-term care and adult oncology. Her specialty certifications include renal, 2000-2004, and geriatrics, 2014-present.

Montana Dietetic Internship Program

All members of our clinical staff serve as mentors in Kalispell Regional Healthcare's preceptor program. Kalispell Regional Healthcare seeks to contribute to the education of students by providing quality learning and training experiences for future dietitians in partnership with the Montana Dietetic Internship program with Montana State University.

Registered dietitians are food and nutrition experts, translating the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living.

All of our dietitians are registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and are licensed by the State of Montana. Dietitians also may have advanced degrees and specialty certifications.

To be registered, a dietitian must:
  • Complete a minimum of four years of education and training in dietetics or a related area at an accredited college or university.
  • Complete an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved dietetic internship or equivalent.
  • Attain registration through national examination.
  • Meet state licensure requirements.
  • Earn continuing professional education credits.
