Summer Internship Program
FOUNDATION INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
OBJECTIVE:
Provide a highly motivated student with work experience in the nonprofit sector to understand philanthropy's different components. The internship will introduce all aspects of development including discovery, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship while assisting with logistics and event planning. This is a unique internship opportunity that will give the intern exposure to the complexity of fundraising in hopes of identifying a clear career path and understanding of working in a Foundation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- College undergraduate or graduate student that is passionate about philanthropy
- Must meet the minimum work hours per week and provide a firm commitment to the program
- Dress and act professionally and provide a high level of customer service
- Knowledge of computers, standard office equipment, internet & social media
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to self-initiate and work independently to complete job requirements
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
The following tasks may shift or change depending on donor engagement
- Assist gift officers with projects and tasks relating to their general job responsibilities
- Donor support: assist in coordinating donor meetings, make discovery and stewardship phone calls and create donor communications
- Data entry: assist gift officers with data quality projects and prospect research
- Solicitations: help build fundraising programs through solicitation support
- Event support: assist with planning logistics, preparing materials, and day of tasks for Logan Health events

SORINI INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
PETER M. SORINI MD ENDOWMENT SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
The Neuroscience & Spine Institute of Logan Health established the Peter M. Sorini, MD Educational Endowment in 2016. Our internship program was originally created in the honor of the late Peter Sorini, MD. The summer internship program is funded by an endowment that has been started through the Logan Health Foundation. This program provides
college students the opportunity to experience clinical neurosciences, with the anticipation of inspiring future career paths within the field. The interns have the opportunity to intern with departments of neurology, neurosurgery, and physical medicine & rehabilitation, for a 4-6 week rotation. Students who intern participate in the following, but not limited to, clinic observation with providers, operating room observation, and a neuroscience-related research project. Students interested in participating in the Peter M. Sorini, MD Educational Endowment can apply with the Neuroscience & Spine Institute below.

**Sorini Summer interns will be paid at minimum wage.
