Volunteers will be there half hour prior to bus departure on Race Day if you miss packet pick up on the 22nd.
RACE START TIME IS 7 AM
Full Marathon Start line is on North Fork Road near Big Creek Campground
Half Marathon Start is at Blankenship Bridge
Parking for all race participants will be in the Columbia Falls High School Parking Lot. (610 13th St. W. Columbia Falls, MT 59912)
North Fork Road Closes to through traffic at Blankenship from 6am to 10am. Anyone living or camping within the closed road will be allowed to go through the road. Please drive slowly and carefully.
You will have a Logan Health Drop Bag you can drop at the start and pick up at the finish. There will be no additional drop zones along the course. Please plan accordingly with layers you can shed. Any clothing left on the course will be collected and donated the week following the race if not claimed. We are not responsible for lost items along the course.
Buses leave from Columbia Falls High School(610 13th St. W Columbia Falls, MT 59912)
5:30am sharp for Full Marathon
6:00am sharp for Half Marathon
9:15am for 10K
9:30am for 5K
Course Information
There will be a shuttle at Glacier Bank(Finish Line) to transport participants back to their vehicles running as needed throughout the day.
The course is open to traffic from Blankenship to town. Runners stay within coned areas for the safety of yourself and motorists
Check the map on the website for aid station locations.
Medical will be provided at mile 10 and Mile 18 with two roaming medical personal on the course and medical tent at the finish. Should you or someone need medical help please notify the closest water station and they will call for assistance.
There will be Course Marshals on the course ensuring that all runners are running in the designated coned areas. Please be respectful if they ask you to move or redirect you. They are there for the safety of the runners and the motorists!!
Bathrooms along the course. Please be respectful use the porta potties compared to nature’s bathroom.
Bathrooms are at all start lines and approximately every 4 miles along the course route.
The course is open to spectators, but we ask that you stay on the North Fork Road between Blankenship and Columbia Falls and not to go down Blankenship road. This is for the safety of the runners and residents along Blankenship Road. Course Marshals will ask spectators to move to a different location if they are parked along that road.
Team Information
Teams you will have a flagged stop not at a water station to tag the next runner. Please be courteous and aware of runners and any traffic (if on open road) when pulling over at designated locations (listed on map).
Locations are posted on the map on the website for team transition.
Teams you are responsible for tracking which runner goes when. If you find a runner is struggling you can relieve that runner with another runner in your group. Please do not stop for long periods of time in non-designated team stops.
All Team members receive a medal as long as they ran a portion of the race! Please let the finish folks know you are a team and need 3 additional medals for the whole team.
5K :
5K run is happening at 10am starting at Aluminum Drive and running to finish at The Coop. We encourage family and friends who are not participating in the Marathon/Half Marathon to do this race.
10K:
10K begins on Cedar Lake Road at the waving bear trail head, joff the North Fork Road.
Race Begins at 10am
Course is a mix of gravel, trail and pavement.
Due to the uneven terrain we do not recommend strollers on this course
Finish and Post-Race Information
Parking for Spectators will be in Xanterra Parking lot across the street from The Coop. If lot fills please be respectful of street parking and do not park in spots that are not legal parking areas.
Flathead Brewing Company is providing a free Beverage to all runners at the after party at Marantette park
All runners will be directed to Glacier Bank after they cross the finish line to receive their post-race goodies!
After Party is the Flow to Snow Party 2pm to 7pm at Marantette Park. The party is celebrating our summer and winter sports all in one. There will be a gear swap and games raising money for great non-profits. Those involved are Flathead Avalanche, Montana Kayak, Flathead River Alliance. Awards will be given out at the Post-Race party at 3:00pm at Marantette Park. We encourage you to bring your friends and family to celebrate a job well done with great food trucks, live music, beverages and fun to be had by all!!
Awards are given out to top three male and female finishers and age group awards!
Camping Option
Camping is available at Big Creek Campground in the group site area. First come first serve.
